LifeStyles is a brand originated in United States. Ansell inherited the brand when it acquired Akwell Ind./Alabama (in 1981), a major move into the US market. Today, LifeStyles is one of the key players in the very sophisticated and competitive US market, being no.1 in providing product to college health centers, Planned Parenthood affiliates and healthcare agencies throughout US.

In 1984, Ansell sold in Australia its first LifeStyles branded condoms. In only 3 years, LifeStyles grew to become the leading brand in the Australian market, thanks to the uncompromising drive to understand consumers and actively pursue market opportunities. Today, LifeStyles continues to be the market leader in Australia.

In the late 80’s LifeStyles started to make inroads into Europe. Today, LifeStyles is present in Hungary, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia.

While the brand has evolved and changed over time to stay relevant, LifeStyles has always stood for safety and reliability. It is this consistency which has helped it to have outstanding performance in many countries across the globe.

LifeStyles reputation for fault-free products is not the result of mere chance but of rigorous manufacturing processes and a strict programme of tests and quality checks. Such perfectionism has not gone unnoticed, and the company is proud of its CE and BSI Kitemark credentials together with its ISO certifications.

International Standard ISO 4074 : 2002 for male condoms manufactured in latex.

The ISO 4074 : 2002 standard involves strict conformity to rigorous procedures demanded by manufacturers.

Every product marketed in Europe has to satisfy the rigorous demands of ISO standards and to have been awarded the CE stamp of approval.

The tests demanded by ISO 4074 : 2002 are as follows :

Specifications relating to the size of the condoms

Volume and bursting pressure

Strength and durability

Correct labelling and packaging.

This standard is a major indicator of quality, and all of our products at Mates meet its demands without difficulty.

BSI Kitemark for male latex condoms.

The BSI Kitemark mark of quality is the most rigorous in the field, as it imposes checks on every batch of condoms produced. Thanks to such standards and checks, you can be confident of using a condom that is of excellent quality and is as safe as it can be made to be.

Why use a condom?

Lifestyles condoms, why a condom?

Condoms are one of the most used forms of contraception today.
Even if you are using another form of birth control, condoms are the only form of protection that can help stop the transmission of STI's and at the same time prevent unplanned pregnancy.

How to use a condom?

Lifestyles condoms, how to use a condom?

LifeStyles believes that safe sex is great sex.
Using a condom provides protection against STI's and unintendedpregnancy. By taking the time to familiarize yourself with how to use a condom you can then relax and enjoy the experience.

  • Step 1: Tear along one side of the foil, removing the condom carefully.Condoms are strong but can be torn by sharp fingernails or jewellery.
  • Step 2: Only put the condom on when the penis is erect and before contact with your partner's body, this helps prevent STIs and pregnancy. Place the condom over the end of the penis with the roll on the outside. With one hand pinch the teat of the condom to expel any trapped air, this will make space for the sperm.
  • Step 3: Using the other hand, roll the condom down the length of the penis to its base. Withdraw the penis soon after ejaculation whilst still erect, holding the condom firmly in place at the base of the penis.
  • Step 4: Wait until the penis is completely withdrawn before removing the condom. Keep the penis and condom away from the vagina to avoid any contact with sperm.
